For years we had wished to work together with native Brazilian Indians. Then in November 2012, five A´uwe Xavantes, including Chief Tsito´ti arrived at our Center for Intuitive Technology and Bioarchitecture - TIBÁ. This was to be a 7 day workshop on traditional maloca building. Yet the reality of living in the jungle has changed, Brazil has changed, all Indians are feeling a strong grip on their lives, mainly to accept a sedentary village life-style. Yet there was a certain attraction to the idea and a need to up grade their housing projects. Together we had to trade skills and working philosophies, the Xavantes call it Ritual Architecture. Song and dance is to be part of the constructing process to channel the work forward. A mix of posibilities emerged, pulling from the past and modernizing with bioarchitecture of tommorrow, the results were fantastic. In geobiological terms, inside the coned palm roof and the circular mud walls, everyone who entered felt a new dimension.
